Of all the novels that I’ve read, THG trilogy is the only one which has GREAT effect on me. Collins really did a great job by targeting the young adult as her audience. I always believe that words can be very powerful, and Collins proved that. But I’m not happy with Finnick Odair’s death, I literally grieved when I had read that part in the Mockingjay. I want that necklace soooo BAD. It means a lot to me because I’m a HUGE fan. I would do everything to own something that has to do with THG. I’m not looking for cool collectibles but that necklace is so special and sacred for a die-hard fan like me. I absolutely love THE HUNGER GAMES and the mockingjay not only is the mockingjay a symbol of the resistance but it is also a lovely symbol of hope, strength, protection and good luck.
The mockingjay is also very much like Katniss in the sense that they both survived despite the capitol’s plans for them. I would also really love to win this because when I went to see the Hunger Games movie I went with my friends who I don’t get to see often and that was very special for me.
