Target plans to sell high-end Hunger Games merchandise on the date the Hunger Games DVD and Blu-ray of the movie will be launched.
Hunger Games Merchandise from Target
The ordinary fan of Suzanne Collins’ trilogy may not be able to afford buying the luxurious items. However, if you are a devoted fan who’s looking to add in your collection, check out the stuff and own a piece of movie history:
- 14-carat gold Mockingjay pin ($999)
- Leather hunting jacket ($349)
- Lithograph signed by the Hunger Games cast ($699)
On August 18 (midnight), the 3 Hunger Games merchandise will be available on Target’s official website online for 3 days. It will be limited to 100 stocks each, so set the alarm on the midnight of the Hunger Games DVD launch if you don’t want to miss out.
In Target stores, they plan to sell the usual movie merchandise ranging from backpacks, jewelry, lunchboxes, pillowcases and life-size cardboard cut-outs of the Hunger Games cast. What’s good about this is that the stuff retails starting from $7.
Lionsgate has inked an agreement with one of the major retail stores in the country. This will be beneficial as well since the Hunger Games DVD will be offered by Target which features a 3-disc deluxe edition, wrapped up in a collectible case. The home entertainment release will also let you take a peek on 45 minutes of exclusive content, including the cast’s personal video diaries on top of interviews with the characters regarding their movie experience.
