Maria Howell will play the role of Seeder, a new Hunger Games cast, in the upcoming movie sequel, Catching Fire.
Hunger Games Cast: Maria Howell as Seeder
Seeder is a female Hunger Games character from District 11. She was a former victor in the Hunger Games and will join forces with Chaff, who was reportedly to be portrayed by E. Roger Mitchell.
After winning a previous Hunger Games, she remained healthy and never turns to drink or other vices. Together with Chaff, she will play an important role in the 75th Hunger Games or the Third Quarter Quell.
Seeder was described in the book as having an olive skin, straight black hair with silver accents and golden brown set of eyes. Katniss liked Seeder because she is kind and gentle; also, she reminds her of Rue.
Howell is an accomplished actress and composer. She’s best known for her roles in:

- What to Expect When You’re Expecting
- Daddy’s Little Girls
- Reverie
- The Color Purple
