It seems that the success of Suzanne Collins Hunger Games trilogy will not be stopping anytime soon. After getting a great box office opening run of $152.5 Million and 170,000 sold copies of its soundtrack, Lionsgate already has a follow up project for its successful movie run by bringing The Hunger Games to console games.
According to David Hayes, Vice President of Digital Marketing at Lionsgate, games is already at the top of their mind since the start of getting rights to the series. They are moving cautiously, though, on entering this kind venture for they don’t want to disappoint the fans and give them an enjoyable experience through games.
When you think about it, creating games is one of the feasible things to do if a movie hits big time on the box office. Just like what they did with the Harry Potter franchise and Spider Man trilogy among others. The only question is what kind of game Lionsgate has on its mind to capture the hearts of gamers and fans to play The Hunger Games in console platforms? Anyway, for now, all we can do is to wait for the announcement.
Currently, there are two games already inspired by the movie. One is for the iOS entitled The Hunger Games: Girl on Fire and the other is on Facebook The Hunger Games Adventures which are both free to play.
With the release of the DVD of the Hunger Games in September, you can also look forward to the game. If you watch the film as soon as it comes out if you sign up to free trial at www.lovefilm.com.

Definitely think there should be some kind of romance somwhere in the game
Maybe an adventure game just like kingdom hearts is what comes to my mind after reading your idea.
players should be able to create their own tribute, choose what district they come from and be taken through the training center and maybe even choose how they act for the interviews sassy, violent, sweet and kind, etc. etc. and then be thrown into a random arena, desert, forest, tundra, rainforest, etc. then let the player survive the games in their own ways, definatly make the player feel like apart of the hunger games.
That’s a nice idea you got there. it can be like an MMORPG thing if they actually do what you conceptualize.
I definitley like that idea
I feel like this is a simple concept. You find a match online, and you’re thrown in as your custom tribute against 19 other people, and last man standing gets some points or something.
There should be 3 game types story mode :where you play katniss life.campaign mode: where you make your own characters and go through the reaping day and the traning center then play vs the computer in a random arena you do not need internet for these game modes. Multiplayer :This game mode does need Internet once again you can make your own character pick your district and favorite weapon then that weapon will be in the cornucopia. play in a random arena with 23 other players there should Lots of maps.
