The Playlist is reporting that Mia Wasikowska or Zoe Aggeliki are names emerging who would likely play Johanna Mason, a Hunger Games cast, in the upcoming movie sequel, Catching Fire.
Mia Wasikowska
Johanna Mason is a Hunger Games character that forged an alliance with Katniss and Peeta on the next Hunger Games. The bond of Johanna and Katniss are sometimes put into test as best described by Katniss – she’s like an older sister who hates you. She’s known to be a strong player who doesn’t have family or friends left in her District (7) and her preferred weapon is an axe.
Zoe Aggeliki
Lionsgate is reportedly looking at both popular talents and lesser known names for the Hunger Games cast.
Wasikowska, pronounced as “vash-i-kov-ska”, or Aggeliki are in the mix for playing the part. Wasikowska is probably more popular than Aggeliki as she has more exposure but the latter can be seen in the summer movie “R.I.P.D”. Aggeliki also snagged a role in Percy Jackson series.
Whoever lands the role of the Hunger Games cast, Johanna Mason, will definitely be privileged as she will not only appear in Catching Fire, but in Mockingjay as well.
